Day 2 – Let’s go surfin now!

Day 2 – Let’s go surfin now!

We took some time this morning for a bit more exploration of the town. There are so many lovely people here. Coucou Crazy is an outdoor bar owned by a Belgian Pastry chef who sells fresh greens and bagels. Easily the best bagel I have ever had with fresh grown tomatoes and garden fresh Dill. We picked up some arugula and kale. I don’t know if you have ever had actual Arugula but those are some spicy greens! Coucou had our first cat of the trip which reassured Callum who had some genuine concerns on the subject. Today’s count 15 dogs, 6 chickens and one cat. My favourite dog today was not the brightest bulb. He was taking up the better part of the right lane for a sunny snooze.

In the afternoon the boys tried their hands (feet) at surfing courtesy of Nana and Grandad who gave them money to do something fun for Christmas. Both had fun but Connor enjoyed it more and can’t wait to go again. I was happy to sit in the surf and play with the speedy little sand crabs The water was cool and the sun was hot plus sushi on the beach. All in all a fantastic day!
