Day 19 – New Horizons
Between work and a long drive to our new destination there wasn’t a lot of time for pics but we did manage to have some fun.
As much as we loved Boquete and surrounding it was onwards and downwards for us today as we drove back down from the mountains and into the beachy heat of Nuevo Gorgona. My day started early to take calls whilst the family snoozed so we were a bit late getting to our destination in Gorgona beach near Coronado.
Coronado is an Ex Pat community that has sprung up near Panama City. More like a permanent Caribbean vacation with really bad roads than a typical Panamanian town it is low on our lists of prospects. Having said that it is close to the International schools and Flight schools in Panama City so we had to check it out.
Despite our late arrival we were thrilled to discover that the community pool doesn’t close until midnight so we went for night swim shenanigans. Cal taught me all the best splashes and even Phil got in on the fun. We didn’t get his pic but there was a terrified frog in the pool. Poor guy was just getting his laps in when we descended from his worst nightmares to cause a ruckus. He couldn’t get away fast enough!
Tomorrow we are joined by my sister Amanda, niece Addie and friend Rita so I expect better pictures and even more fun. Can’t wait to see faces from home as long as they don’t come bearing snow.

Good morning it is a balmy 1 degree Celsius here this morning we are having a heat wave of sorts. I was surprised to find that frogs train for Olympic swimming. It sounds like everyone is having a blast .
