We were up bright and early this morning to venture off onto the deep blue sea, bound for Iguana Island. Weirdly we only saw a couple iguanas all day, I guess they heard we were coming and sent a bazillion hermit crabs to scare us off. Little did they know that we laugh in the face of hermit crabs, except the one in the picture, he was a little scary. Two of us did some hardcore snorkeling, I bet you…
We took some time this morning for a bit more exploration of the town. There are so many lovely people here. Coucou Crazy is an outdoor bar owned by a Belgian Pastry chef who sells fresh greens and bagels. Easily the best bagel I have ever had with fresh grown tomatoes and garden fresh Dill. We picked up some arugula and kale. I don’t know if you have ever had actual Arugula but those are some spicy greens! Coucou had…
Day 1 was light and breezy. We explored all the grocery stores and stocked up for the next 10 days (did I mention the pineapple????). The town is littered with fun statuary from all the floats displayed during last week’s Carnivale festivities. Sorry to have missed that but the flight saving are very comforting. Our front porch has an amazing hammock. The weather is perfect and reading in the hammock is a favourite pastime. We may end up with a…
Arriving at our Pedasi home was full of fun surprises. We saw a stunning number of brush fires on our 4 hour drive from PC. No one seemed to care, they just burned away merrily. Since there are no shortage of trees I have to assume they know what they are doing. Pedasi has lots of beauty and a stunning number of chickens and dogs wandering the streets. Every day we play chickens or dogs to see which there are…
So we booked an SUV knowing we had quite a few bags. Good to know that in Panama anything with a tire on the back is an SUV. On the plus side watching Phil pack this thing was beyond hilarious and impressive. I get to relive that memory every time he folds himself in half to get in.
A whole month in paradise! Since it’s a long trip we thought it would be fun to document our stay in blog form. Hi Mom and Dad 😉! The trip here was long but fun and we are having a great time. Amazing how quickly we all fell into that relaxed mañana vibe.
