Day 10 – Chinese food is less fun than a waterfall
A bit of a rocky start to the day. We quickly discovered three thing about our Air BNB.
- Two of the three toilets in the house are broken
- The hot tub is broken
- The WiFi sucks here and everything is covered in trees so our Starlink is minimally reliable
Despite all that we soldiered forward to check out the Waterfalls that I have been dreaming of for months only to find that the inroads were very rocky and Phil was wildly uncomfortable with taking the rental on them. No waterfall for me. That fine when the 4:00 rain started I stood in the downspout from the roof and imagined really hard. Not quite cliff diving but life goes on. We shall try to Uber or taxi in tomorrow.
We spent the balance of the day getting to know our impressive yard better. Not sure what kind of lizards and birds we found but they were cool. Plus we have an orange tree, though none of the oranges are ripe so it was originally mistaken for a lime tree.
Found a great Chinese place with an awesome Vegan menu so that was a win, plus a light house on a mountain. You don’t see that every day 🙂

Well we can match you for the Chinese food anyway. We had our mid week weekend at Rama – the Irish Rovers were as good ever and other than our gambling money the rest was comped by the Casino – the suite for the night plus all of the food – we had to pay for the tips and that was all.
Tell Connor that we were sorry to miss his call, I know your father tried to call and left a message so if he wants to try again hopefully we will be at home. After 6pm is best
